Who will be teaching me to snowboard in Flumserberg?

A certified coach who reads how you ride and fixes the one thing holding you back — teaching in English, German or Spanish, in groups of one to four. Rather than post testimonials we can't verify, here's what you can actually check before you book: certification, languages, how I coach, and the video you take home.

Javi, the snowboard coach, on the snow in Flumserberg.

"Who's actually teaching me?" is a fair question, and one a lot of lesson pages dodge. So here's a straight answer, plus the things you can check for yourself before you hand over any money.

Ride Flumserberg is a coach, not a call centre

When you book, you get a named, certified coach for the whole session — not whoever happens to be free, and not a different face each hour. Most of the time that's me, Javi: I learnt the way you will, falling and laughing and chasing one clean turn until it clicked, and now I coach the way I wish I'd been taught — patient, honest, and genuinely fired up when you land it. You can see the coach profiles on the instructors page before you commit.

How I actually teach

  • I read first, then teach. For the first few minutes I just watch a couple of your turns. I don't ask what level you think you are — I see it, find the one thing holding you back, and that becomes the lesson.
  • One fix at a time. Not ten corrections at once. One, done properly, then we build on it. That's what makes the change stick.
  • Groups of one to four, grouped by level where it fits. Small enough that the coaching lands on you; mixed levels work too, I just split my focus.
  • In your language. Lessons in English, German or Spanish — learning something physical in your own language matters more than people expect.

On reviews — the honest version

You'll notice I'm not pasting a wall of five-star quotes here. As the school grows I'd rather you trust what you can actually verify:

  • Certification you can check on the instructors page.
  • Video every lesson — I film as we ride and send the clips to your phone, so the proof of your progress is in your own hand, not a testimonial.
  • A real conversation before you book — call me and ask anything. That tells you more about who you'll be riding with than any review.

Verified public reviews are on the roadmap; until they're genuine, I won't invent them.
